Tales in Glaze Series: The Anatolian Weaving Tradition in Çini
36.5 cm Height | 75 cm Diameter — Handcrafted Faience Vase Bringing together the ancient symbolism of Anatolia and the deep cosmology of Turkish mythology, this artwork is a contemporary reflection of Seljuk and Oghuz Turkmen motifs. At the center of the vase, the Tree of Life symbolizes existence, abundance, and eternity stretching from earth to the sky. While the Diamond and Evil Eye motifs on the neck offer sacred protection, the Eight-Pointed Stars—rooted in Gokturk cosmology and 12th-century Seljuk architecture—represent divine guidance across the eight directions of the universe. Blending Ram’s Horn motifs for strength with delicate Rumi rosettes, this timeless underglaze ceramic vase is entirely handcrafted.
